Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Air Liquide Singapore is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to drive best‑practice maintenance across its plant assets. You will be responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting safety initiatives in a fast‑paced industrial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all mechanical maintenance activities in line with the Master Plan Schedule to maximise equipment uptime.
• Implement preventive, predictive and shutdown maintenance programmes for mechanical equipment, VIE backup systems and H2 & Helium bunkers.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records in MAXIMO and produce monthly maintenance reports.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for reliability issues and develop preventive action plans.
• Respond to equipment failures within 2 hours, provide on‑site support and recommend cost‑effective solutions.
• Manage spare‑parts inventory for process equipment and VIE tanks, including stock control and annual stock‑take.
• Execute work orders from operations, provide training to operational staff and support audits.
• Conduct quality and safety audits, manage Risk Assessments and Method of Statements, and contribute to standardisation task forces.

Required profile

• Familiarity with preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance of plant equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for rotating and static mechanical equipment.
• Customer‑oriented mindset with ownership and team‑management capabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel to multiple plant sites as required.
