Network Operations Engineer

About the role

Logicalis Asia Pacific, an AI-driven technology integrator with 7,000+ professionals across 30 territories, is hiring a Network Operations Engineer. The role sits in a collaborative regional team and covers enterprise networking support, incident handling, vendor coordination and 24/7 operations centre duty.

Key responsibilities

• Lead critical incidents with team and vendors to reduce resolution time or provide workarounds, and collaborate with vendors, partners and customers on permanent fixes within agreed timelines.
• Perform IOS upgrades and patches, run vulnerability assessments and implement solutions or workarounds based on vendor advisories.
• Work in a 24/7 operations centre on a monthly rotational basis, assisting primary standby engineers, and meet customer SLAs for incidents and requests.
• Escalate enterprise networking matters from Level 1/2 helpdesk, perform Level 2/3 troubleshooting and hardware field replacements, and mentor L1/L2 team members.
• Maintain technical documentation, close support tickets, give timely updates to helpdesk and customers, and write knowledge base articles and SOPs for network patching and troubleshooting.
• Create detailed change plans for network activities following ITIL processes, draft incident and root cause analysis reports, and analyse network packets with tools such as Wireshark.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of network operations experience supporting mid-range to large company networks, and 7+ years preferred with a professional certification such as CCNP or ACCP.
• Experience in enterprise networking operations (VSS, VPC, Cisco ACI, Stacking, Multicast, MPLS, SD-WAN, DNAC, DMVPN, IOS-WLC, AirOS-WLC, OFDMA, Wi-Fi 6E, Meraki).
• Hands-on experience in production operations and BAU, with sharp L2/L3 troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, solve problems and communicate clearly in writing and verbally.

Required skills

• Multi-product knowledge of Cisco, Fortinet, HPE, Palo Alto, F5 and Checkpoint.
• Network OS: Cisco IOS, NXOS, AirOS, Aruba ClearPass, FortiOS.
• Protocols: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, GRE/IPSec, HSRP/VRRP, QoS, NAT, PAT, Port Channel, VXLAN, policy routing.
• Packet analysis with Wireshark and scripting basics (Python, Perl).
• Familiarity with ITIL (Incident, Change, Problem, Service Management) and vendor collaboration during outages.
