Network Security Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Network Security Engineer to protect our enterprise IT and network environments. You will work closely with infrastructure and network teams to implement security controls, monitor threats, and support compliance initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain cybersecurity policies, procedures, and controls.
• Configure, maintain and monitor firewalls, SIEM, antivirus, and IDS/IPS solutions.
• Monitor security events, conduct initial investigations and assist incident response.
• Perform vulnerability scanning, risk assessments and support audits.
• Collaborate with network and infrastructure teams to apply secure configurations.
• Support remediation of identified vulnerabilities and risks.
• Maintain asset inventories, configuration records and technical documentation.
• Ensure security compliance, reporting and audit readiness.
• Promote security awareness and best‑practice initiatives.
• Apply security best practices in AWS, Azure or GCP cloud environments.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science or related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security or IT security operations.
• Strong understanding of threat management, risk assessment, incident response and data protection.
• Solid knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, routing, VPN and encryption.
• Experience with SIEM, firewalls, antivirus, IDS/IPS and vulnerability scanning tools.
• Basic familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and documentation skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
