Performance & Business Controller

About the role

As a Performance & Business Controller you will join the Automotive LBU within APME, supporting financial performance and strategic decision‑making across a diverse international portfolio. You will work in a matrix environment, collaborating with directors, finance teams and central PBC groups.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse monthly reports, budgets and PLT for a portfolio of subsidiaries.
• Ensure the quality, reliability and upward flow of financial data into corporate systems.
• Support subsidiaries and management with performance‑tracking tools and financial consolidation for BU Lubs and LMM.
• Lead budget and long‑term planning processes, including training and implementation for APME subsidiaries.
• Standardise and optimise controlling methods while ensuring compliance with the MS management framework and Lubrifiants‑specific rules.
• Provide support and training to local finance teams and handle cross‑functional topics such as margins, CAPEX, working capital and CMO.
• Validate financing forms, ensure consistency between accounting and management results, and conduct studies to support executive decisions.
• Assist with financial aspects of strategic projects (M&A, investments) and propose finance IT system improvements.

Required profile

• Higher education in Management (Business School or postgraduate degree).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in controlling or finance roles.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of management frameworks and reporting concepts.
• Solid accounting and taxation knowledge.
• Proficiency in Excel, SAP and Essbase.
• Knowledge of Power BI is a plus.
