Preconstruction & Operations Director

About the role

This senior leadership position oversees the end‑to‑end delivery of large‑scale digital infrastructure projects, from site identification through construction and ongoing operations. The role drives expansion strategy, ensures operational excellence, and supports portfolio growth across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development, delivery and operation of large‑scale digital infrastructure projects.
• Identify and acquire sites, conduct feasibility assessments, and manage pre‑construction planning.
• Establish operational standards, governance frameworks and performance metrics.
• Oversee construction execution, project controls, budgets and delivery schedules.
• Manage contractors, consultants and internal teams to achieve project outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory and quality requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for efficiency and reliability.
• Collaborate with engineering, commercial and operational teams to support growth objectives.
• Provide strategic recommendations on expansion, capacity planning and market development.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Construction, Real Estate, Project Management or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience in data centres, critical infrastructure, industrial or mission‑critical environments.
• Proven leadership across development, construction, operations or asset management.
• Strong commercial acumen, stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Ability to operate strategically in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment.
• Regional experience in Asia‑Pacific is advantageous.
