Procurement Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to lead and optimise our purchasing activities within a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will develop strategies, manage supplier relationships and ensure cost‑effective procurement while supporting internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimise processes and reduce costs.
• Conduct market research to identify and evaluate potential suppliers.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to secure favourable terms.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand purchasing needs and requirements.
• Manage supplier relationships and resolve any issues or disputes.
• Monitor inventory levels and track order status to ensure timely delivery.
• Analyse procurement data, generate performance reports and identify improvement opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations and industry standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting as a Buyer, Sourcing Specialist or Procurement Specialist.
• Proven track record in procurement or a similar role.
• Strong negotiation, communication, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledge of procurement best practices and current industry trends.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using SAP for procurement processes.
