Product Development Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Product Development Engineer to join KLA’s Surfscan team within the Global Products Group. The role focuses on driving new product introductions and sustaining existing products through the KLA Product Lifecycle (PLC) framework, ensuring timely delivery and performance targets for wafer inspection and metrology solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Support new product introduction and sustainment across all PLC phases, aligning deliverables with schedule and performance goals.
• Contribute to system definition, integration, and validation from early development through release and field deployment.
• Develop and manage PLC deliverables such as system architecture inputs, test plans, acceptance criteria, and documentation.
• Own and execute Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Field Change Orders (FCOs) for product improvements, reliability fixes, and customer requirements.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with hardware, software, and application teams to scope, implement, validate, and release changes.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
• Experience in product development, system integration, or semiconductor equipment engineering.
• Strong understanding of product lifecycle management and engineering change processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multi‑disciplinary teams and communicate technical information clearly.
