Production Planner – Substrates

About the role

Qorvo is seeking a Production Planner focused on substrates to support its global semiconductor manufacturing network. In this role you will analyze demand, coordinate material procurement, and ensure that production schedules align with capacity and equipment availability, helping the company meet on‑time delivery targets.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze, plan, and execute supply‑planning activities to guarantee timely delivery of production materials.
• Develop and maintain substrate start plans that reflect demand forecasts, capacity constraints, and operational priorities.
• Evaluate capacity loading, identify bottlenecks, and drive corrective actions to meet customer requirements.
• Align production schedules with equipment availability and factory capabilities to optimize throughput.
• Monitor demand fluctuations and adjust supply plans proactively to avoid shortages or excess inventory.
• Track substrate starts, work‑in‑process status, and cycle‑time performance to ensure smooth production flow.
• Provide regular planning and performance reports to management.
• Collaborate with external suppliers and internal customers to resolve escalations and supply issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in supply planning, master scheduling, or work‑center planning, preferably in a high‑tech environment.
• Knowledge of substrate fabrication processes, cycle‑time control, and throughput optimization.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, quality‑focused, and able to work independently.

Required skills

• SAP knowledge for inventory and production transaction management.
• Understanding of substrate fabrication processes and related performance metrics.
