Production Planning Engineer

About the role

The Production Planning Engineer will translate sales demand and customer requirements into executable wafer fab production plans. You will work closely with operations and cross‑functional teams to ensure on‑time delivery and optimal use of equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and apply scheduling rules to maximize equipment loading, WIP flow and capacity utilization.
• Monitor production progress, drive actions to meet delivery commitments and report planning indices.
• Collaborate with Operations and other teams to improve delivery performance, cycle time and manufacturing efficiency.
• Identify production bottlenecks, risk areas and escalate concerns with recommended actions.
• Support improvement programs that enhance productivity and operational effectiveness.
• Chair off‑shift production meetings to align priorities and follow up on critical actions.
• Assist the Manager in daily planning operations and contribute to department goals.

Required profile

• Degree in Science or Engineering.
• Leadership qualities and good interpersonal skills.
• 1‑3 years of relevant wafer fab manufacturing experience (fresh graduates welcome).
• Strong analytical and planning abilities.
• Willingness to work 12‑hour shifts.
