Production Technician

About the role

Air Liquide Singapore is seeking a Production Technician to operate equipment for filling, inspecting and preparing compressed and liquid gas cylinders. The role focuses on safe, efficient production while adhering to strict safety, quality and schedule requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Sort and manage cylinders across work stations, update the Gideon WIP system and maintain production logbooks.
• Fill inert, flammable and toxic gas mixtures into cylinders and bundles following SOPs to achieve zero safety incidents and zero quality rejects.
• Conduct incoming and outgoing quality checks to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
• Monitor cylinder test dates, arrange maintenance, perform gas disposal, de‑valving, painting, stenciling, palletisation and de‑palletisation.
• Follow 6S housekeeping procedures, execute routine plant start‑up and shut‑down activities.
• Perform basic preventive and corrective maintenance on filling equipment, including valve replacement, manifold cleaning, vacuum pump replacement and other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• ITE/NITEC/Diploma in Chemical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 1‑3 years of hands‑on experience in a chemical processing or process plant environment; fresh graduates with a strong learning attitude are welcome.
• Solid understanding of personal and process safety standards in an industrial plant.
• Ability to operate a forklift is an advantage.
