Project Engineer – Dynamic Positioning Software

About the role

We are expanding our team of Project Engineers who work on Dynamic Positioning (DP) software deliveries. The role combines office‑based software engineering with extensive travel to vessels worldwide for installation, commissioning and testing.

Key responsibilities

• Commission DP software on board vessels and support Customer Acceptance Tests (CAT).
• Travel up to 120 days per year to install and commission DP systems worldwide.
• Perform Internal Acceptance Tests (IAT) and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) in the office.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including design documents and procedures.
• Act as liaison between customers and the head office throughout pre‑commissioning, commissioning, maintenance and operation phases.
• Participate in internal and external meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybernetics, Control Engineering, Marine Technology, Electronics, Instrumentation, Computer Science or related fields.
• Alternatively, a diploma with at least 5 years of Navy experience or 3 years in shipbuilding.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative and collaborate across multicultural teams.

Required skills

• Knowledge of C/C++ programming (advantageous).
