Project Manager - Elevator Installation

About the role

KONE, a global leader in elevators and escalators, is hiring a Project Manager. The role is accountable for the safe, high-quality and efficient installation of the KONE solution, within the agreed scope, schedule and budget. It also ensures site preparation and readiness, leads the installation team, verifies deliverables, coordinates with builders and other contractors, and acts as the KONE interface with the customer and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise installation and handovers, ensuring safety, quality and productivity, and act on non-conformities
• Verify the site execution plan and field cost management, manage material delivery to site and confirm S-plan milestones
• Plan installation activities, site storage and logistics, request and receive materials, and perform goods receipt
• Organize continuous huddles with the installation team to prevent interruptions and reduce waste
• Manage variation sales and change orders, claim costs attributable to others, and verify installation quality and final testing
• Complete handover to maintenance, handle quality claims, approve timesheets, report progress, costs and risks, and manage schedule changes
• Manage environmental aspects such as waste and hazardous material handling
• Act as the main customer contact and ensure customer satisfaction
• Verify that installers, testers and contractors are trained and competent, and manage subcontractor relationships
• Follow and improve standard ways of working according to Lean principles

Required profile

• Experience in construction or the elevator industry is an asset
• Ability to lead installation teams and manage subcontractors
