Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of construction projects, from mobilisation through testing, commissioning and handover. The role requires establishing priorities, managing resources and ensuring delivery against programme and budget targets.

Key responsibilities

• Establish project priorities, master programme, resources, execution strategy and delivery targets.
• Direct engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities across all relevant disciplines.
• Manage project cost, commercial exposure, variations, procurement, resources and contractual requirements.
• Lead relationships with client, consultant, main contractor, suppliers and subcontractors at project level.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and constraints and implement timely recovery measures.
• Ensure works meet required quality, safety, statutory and contractual standards.
• Resolve major technical, coordination, commercial and operational issues affecting delivery.
• Lead and develop project managers, discipline managers, engineers and site teams to achieve performance targets.
• Drive continuous improvement through better engineering solutions, construction methods, technology, productivity and cost efficiency.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead the overall project from mobilisation through construction, testing, commissioning and handover.
• Experience establishing project priorities, programmes, resources and execution strategies.
• Strong background in directing engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities.
• Capability to manage project cost, commercial exposure, variations and contractual requirements.
• Effective leadership of client, consultant, main contractor, supplier and subcontractor relationships.
• Skilled at monitoring progress, identifying risks and implementing recovery measures.
• Commitment to meeting quality, safety, statutory and contractual standards.
• Ability to resolve technical, coordination, commercial and operational issues.
• Experience developing project managers, engineers and site teams.
• Focus on continuous improvement and cost efficiency.
