Purchasing Manager

About the role

The Purchasing Manager will lead the hotel’s purchasing department, ensuring that all goods and services are sourced competitively without compromising quality. You will work closely with hotel departments, suppliers, and senior management to maintain efficient procurement processes.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the purchasing team’s daily activities.
• Ensure compliance with purchasing policies, insurance coverage, and global risk requirements.
• Update and communicate purchase order procedures, limits, and approval flows.
• Obtain competitive quotes, conduct market price surveys, and benchmark prices against other hotels.
• Review purchase requests, orders, and contracts for accuracy and authorization.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal departments and external suppliers.
• Investigate open or unmatched purchase orders and propose corrective actions.
• Monitor rolling contracts and manage tender approvals through the Sourcing Centre.

Required profile

• College graduate.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Purchasing Supervisor or higher in the hospitality industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, guide and develop team members.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Resourceful, creative and flexible with work hours, especially during month‑end and stock‑take periods.
