Purchasing Officer – Food & Inventory Management

About the role

The Purchasing Officer will support Moxy Singapore Clarke Quay by managing food inventories, processing orders, and ensuring accurate cost tracking. This role is essential to maintaining smooth operations and high food‑service standards within the hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate figures for food inventories, orders and costs.
• Maintain organized records of reports, invoices and requisition forms.
• Post invoices using computer programs and reconcile shipping invoices with receiving reports.
• Conduct inventory audits, monitor PAR levels and notify management of low stock.
• Receive, unload and process deliveries; reject damaged or incorrect items.
• Troubleshoot vendor delivery issues and oversee returns.
• Adhere to food‑safety policies and quality‑assurance standards.
• Report accidents, complete safety training and follow company policies.
• Communicate professionally with internal teams and external suppliers.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related purchasing or inventory experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lb and moving in confined spaces.
