QA/QC Inspector

About the role

Wood is seeking a QA/QC Inspector to support its expanding operations in Singapore. The successful candidate will ensure that all construction activities meet project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements, contributing to the safe and timely delivery of projects.

Key responsibilities

• Instruct and monitor construction contractors to comply with Health, Safety, Environment and Security (HSES) policies, site regulations, permits, and client requirements.
• Ensure contractors adhere to approved construction drawings, specifications, Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), procedures, quality plans, and site instructions.
• Oversee HSES and quality aspects within assigned areas, guaranteeing work aligns with the project schedule.
• Collaborate with supervision, planning engineers, and the Construction Engineer to develop daily and weekly work plans.
• Notify the Discipline Superintendent of schedule adjustments required due to site conditions, quality issues, or material deliveries.
• Monitor contractor staffing, timekeeping, and disciplinary actions; close out non‑conformance reports (NCRs).
• Prioritize field execution sequences and manage resources efficiently when conflicts arise.
• Assist in organizing safety activities, toolbox meetings, risk assessments, and safety documentation.
• Serve as the on‑site lead for piping activities, overseeing day‑to‑day construction tasks.

Required profile

• Proven experience in construction QA/QC and HSES compliance.
• Familiarity with project specifications, approved drawings, ITPs, and quality plans.
• Ability to develop and adjust work plans in coordination with engineering and planning teams.
• Strong organizational skills to monitor contractor performance and manage resources.
• Experience conducting safety awareness activities and risk assessments on construction sites.
