Regional Audit Manager – Korean Speaking

About the role

As the Regional Audit Manager for the Southeast Asia & Oceania (SEAO) region, you will lead fraud audit assignments, uncovering risks that could impact Samsung Electronics' strategic objectives. The role requires close coordination with Korean headquarters, expatriate teams, and local staff while traveling extensively across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct confidential investigations of suspected fraud, gathering evidence through field assignments and interviews.
• Utilize advanced data‑analytics tools and Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, visualisations) to analyse large datasets and extract actionable insights.
• Identify forensic issues, determine root causes, and recommend improvements to internal controls and business processes.
• Develop corrective‑action plans and ensure their implementation.
• Manage audit projects of 6‑8 weeks, delivering results within agreed timelines.
• Facilitate task coordination between Korean HQ, expatriate staff, and local stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in financial/fraud audit or digital forensics.
• Strong understanding of cross‑functional financial operations (procurement, sales, marketing, accounting) in the consumer/industrial electronics sector.
• Fluent in English and Korean (written and spoken) for business communication and reporting.
• Proven ability to work independently and build partnerships across diverse cultures.
• Willingness to travel up to five months per year across the SEAO region.
