Regulatory Counsel

About the role

We are seeking a Regulatory Counsel to join our fast‑growing fintech company that enables cross‑border financial services for emerging markets. Reporting to the Head of Legal, you will support new product launches, market expansions and ongoing compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead legal and regulatory aspects of new product launches and existing product development.
• Work cross‑functionally with product, compliance, finance and information security teams to address day‑to‑day regulatory challenges.
• Collaborate with the legal team to identify, evaluate and mitigate risks, proposing creative solutions.
• Engage with regulators, support license applications for new market entries and manage ongoing regulatory matters.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with 5–10 years of experience in payments or other regulated financial services.
• In‑house experience in a fintech or payments environment.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks governing financial products.

Required skills

• Legal drafting and negotiation.
• Regulatory analysis and compliance management.
• Stakeholder communication across legal and non‑legal teams.
