Resident Engineer – AI & Digital Construction

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Resident Engineer to lead civil and structural site supervision while driving AI‑enabled and digital solutions for construction operations in Singapore. The role blends traditional quality‑control and site‑management duties with close collaboration on automation and smart‑construction initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of site supervisors and Resident Technical Officers.
• Work with the Qualified Person to resolve design and technical issues.
• Review project drawings, specifications and contractor submissions (temporary works designs, method statements, test reports) to identify discrepancies.
• Supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, shop drawings, materials, and installation procedures.
• Maintain quality‑control standards and ensure adherence to the Building Control Act, relevant codes of practice and authority requirements.
• Report non‑conforming works to the supervising Qualified Person.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, project managers and stakeholders to keep the project on schedule.
• Enforce site safety requirements and support resolution of site‑coordination issues.

Required profile

• Solid experience in civil and structural construction supervision.
• Strong knowledge of construction regulations and quality‑control processes.
• Interest in AI, automation and digital transformation of construction workflows.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams on complex sites.
