Lead Specialist EHS - Health & Safety

About the role

Gevernova is looking for a Lead Specialist EHS to lead environmental, health and safety activities across project and service sites, helping teams work safely and meet applicable requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement project EHS plans, procedures and emergency response arrangements.
• Advise project teams, customers, consortium partners and contractors on EHS requirements and safe work practices.
• Conduct site inspections, identify unsafe conditions and follow up on corrective actions; intervene when work presents an immediate safety risk.
• Identify training needs and coordinate EHS inductions, toolbox talks and other training for employees and contractors.
• Support risk assessments and permit-to-work processes in line with site procedures.
• Monitor EHS performance, keep records and report issues and improvement actions to project and site management.
• Take part in EHS audits and reviews and help close gaps between company, customer and contractor requirements.
• Coordinate EHS activities across contractors and project teams, including work at multiple sites when required.

Required profile

• Experience managing EHS activities in project, construction, field service or other site-based operations.
• Working knowledge of Singapore workplace safety and health requirements, risk assessments and site safety procedures.
• Ability to engage effectively with customers, contractors and employees at different levels.
• Strong written and spoken English, with calm, sound decision-making during safety incidents.
• Willingness to travel between project or service sites as required.

Required skills

• Desired: WSQ Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety and Health or a relevant WSH qualification.
• Desired: experience with EHS management systems, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Desired: strong planning, reporting and problem-solving skills, and the ability to influence others and promote a positive safety culture.
