Robotics Software Engineer - L3

About the role

We are looking for a Robotics Software Engineer who is passionate about building intelligent autonomous systems and delivering reliable solutions in fast‑paced industrial environments. You will work across software, hardware, and product teams to bring code to life on real robots operating at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Define technical direction and architecture for the MAG AMR stack, including navigation, SLAM, and state‑machine design.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of robotics software engineers, handling hiring and performance discussions.
• Break down roadmap priorities into actionable technical plans and assign ownership.
• Stay hands‑on with algorithm design, complex bugs, and system‑level trade‑offs.
• Coordinate with cross‑country hardware, product, and engineering pods to keep releases on track.
• Enforce security and code‑quality standards through reviews and vulnerability assessments.
• Optimize navigation algorithms for planning, path tracking, and motion control.
• Maintain high‑quality code reviews and engineering practices across the team.
• Represent the software team in planning and roadmap discussions with leadership.
• Write and maintain clear documentation of the codebase and development activities.
• Support on‑site robot deployments and field testing when required.
• Partner with product to keep user documentation accurate and current.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience building production robotics software.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to work in fast‑paced environments.
