Senior Business Developer

About the role

Air Liquide Singapore Private Limited is seeking a Senior Business Developer to join its Engineering Project and Solutions Division. Based in Woodlands, you will drive growth by identifying new prospects, managing key accounts, and delivering technical solutions for the Singapore manufacturing sector.

Key responsibilities

• Lead prospecting initiatives to generate new business opportunities (30%) and expand existing accounts (70%).
• Define account‑specific strategies and market plans to promote Air Liquide solutions.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for complex customer inquiries, providing expert advice.
• Coordinate the preparation of competitive technical and economic proposals in line with industry standards.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to design tailored technical and commercial offers.
• Support risk assessments, clarify project scopes, and contribute critical technical inputs.
• Lead commercial negotiations to secure profitable agreements.
• Collaborate with the Business Development Head on strategic problem‑solving and tender budgeting.
• Oversee project budgets and ensure profitability by aligning with internal execution teams.
• Work closely with onsite operations and project personnel to anticipate customer expectations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering (Process, Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemistry preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial activities, project management, procurement, or construction management.
• Proven background in proposal engineering or technical project management.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in cost estimating, tender budgeting, and contract interpretation.
• Excellent negotiation and communication abilities, capable of bridging clients and engineering teams.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
