Senior Infrastructure Security Engineer – Information Security

About the role

The Information Security team safeguards Shopee’s infrastructure and data across on‑premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. As a Senior Infrastructure Security Engineer you will help shape and strengthen the defense‑in‑depth security framework that protects critical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in designing and implementing the company’s infrastructure security architecture, continuously enhancing defense‑in‑depth controls.
• Design and drive security solutions for complex environments, including on‑premises, public cloud, private cloud, and hybrid infrastructures.
• Lead security initiatives to identify information‑security risks throughout the product lifecycle and propose practical remediation plans.
• Coordinate the implementation of remediation actions, ensuring alignment with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and security standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Security Engineer role.
• Strong understanding of threat scenarios faced by internet‑scale companies and hands‑on experience with enterprise security programs.
• Familiarity with operations and software‑development practices of large‑scale internet organizations, including common security risks and controls.
• Proven experience building large‑scale security infrastructure or delivering enterprise‑scale security projects.
• Excellent project‑management skills with the ability to balance quality, cost, timelines, and milestones.
