Senior Manager, Project & Construction Management, Data Centre

About the role

Join Nxera as a Senior Manager overseeing the execution of greenfield and brownfield data centre projects across the region. You will lead end‑to‑end project lifecycles, ensuring sustainability, connectivity and AI‑driven innovation are embedded in every build.

Key responsibilities

• Manage regional data centre project execution from initiation to closure.
• Develop project master programmes, charters and processes.
• Source specialist experts and translate business requirements into deliverables.
• Prepare and control project budgets, capital funding cash‑flow and spending.
• Lead tendering, administration and accurate reporting of progress and expenditure.
• Oversee construction compliance with EHS standards and cost‑efficient delivery.
• Research and integrate new technologies to enhance existing or new data centres.
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and foster a culture of quality assurance.
• Travel regionally as needed (20‑25% of time).

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of project or construction management experience in data centre environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or Architecture.
• Proven leadership, problem‑solving and negotiation abilities.
• Excellent English communication with strong attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and ability to lead cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Data centre risk redundancy configuration knowledge.
• Expertise in M&E systems: UPS, Generator, Chiller, Cooling Tower.
• Testing and commissioning procedures (FAT, SAT, IST).
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and M&E drawings.
• Project lifecycle management (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, closing).
• Budgeting, capital funding management and tender administration.
• EHS compliance and safety management.
