Senior Site Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Site Engineer to lead the execution of commercial building projects. The successful candidate will oversee all on‑site activities, ensuring that construction is delivered on schedule, within budget and to the required quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and update the master construction programme, preparing catch‑up plans when necessary.
• Supervise engineers, foremen and subcontractors, enforcing quality procedures and workmanship standards.
• Prepare detailed site programmes, method statements and work instructions for the construction team.
• Resolve drawing discrepancies and technical issues in collaboration with the technical team.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, internal departments and consultants to align manpower, material and equipment requirements.
• Plan and forecast equipment, material and labour needs, controlling usage and minimizing waste.
• Ensure strict adherence to health and safety practices on the site.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in commercial building construction.
• Completed at least one full building or civil project lifecycle.
• Proven ability to lead site teams and manage multiple stakeholders.

Required skills

• Construction programme monitoring and scheduling.
• Quality control and assurance in civil works.
• Preparation of method statements and technical documentation.
• Coordination of subcontractors, vendors and internal departments.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations on construction sites.
