Software Engineer – Growth & Communications

About the role

Google Pay is looking for a Software Engineer to join its Growth and Communications platform in Singapore. You will help design and launch scalable features that power user acquisition, referral rewards, and high‑throughput messaging for hundreds of millions of users.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy features across mobile, web, and backend ecosystems.
• Build and optimise high‑throughput communication infrastructure and referral/reward engines.
• Integrate Remote Procedure Call (RPC) services and ensure seamless UI experiences.
• Leverage generative AI and agentic workflows to accelerate delivery.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, UX designers, and cross‑functional teams to drive end‑to‑end feature development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and building systems that scale to millions of users.
• Experience working closely with PMs/UX to ship features.
• Familiarity with AI‑enabled development tools is a plus.
