Software Engineer III – Post Trade Technology

About the role

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a seasoned Software Engineer III to join the Post Trade Technology team within Commercial & Investment Bank Technology. You will work in an agile environment to design, develop, and deliver secure, high‑quality technology solutions that support the firm’s business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot software solutions, applying innovative approaches to complex problems.
• Write secure production code, maintain synchronous algorithms, and ensure alignment with system requirements.
• Leverage enterprise‑authorized AI coding assistants for code generation, refactoring, unit‑test creation, and documentation, while validating outputs through peer review and automated testing.
• Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and enforce design constraints.
• Gather, analyze, and visualize large data sets to drive continuous improvement of applications and systems.
• Identify hidden patterns in data to improve code hygiene and system architecture.

Required profile

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with at least 3 years of applied experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
• Hands‑on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability within a large corporate environment.
• Proven ability to use AI‑assisted development tools responsibly, evaluating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
