Solutions Design and Program Management Director

About the role

Citi is looking for a Senior Director, Solutions Design & Program Management to lead the design, planning and delivery of complex technology solutions across a large enterprise portfolio. Reporting directly into C-suite leadership, the role connects business strategy to operational execution, owns solution direction, drives cross-functional program delivery and ensures teams have the clarity, structure and governance needed to deliver at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design of technology solutions across the portfolio, connecting business objectives to platform direction.
• Define and communicate a 3-5 year strategic vision, turning business priorities into delivery roadmaps and program plans.
• Serve as the main interface with senior business stakeholders and executives, owning periodic reporting, investment updates and strategic trade-offs.
• Establish governance frameworks for prioritization and triage, helping teams manage competing demands and resolve blockers.
• Oversee funding visibility and resource allocation, including budgets, vendors and capabilities.
• Identify central capabilities and drive horizontal alignment so solutions are consistent and scalable.
• Manage delivery risk across programs and ensure compliance with applicable policies.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in solution design, program management and strategic planning, delivering complex technology initiatives in large enterprises.
• Proven ability to lead multiple teams through other managers, managing performance and building accountable delivery organizations.
• Experience managing portfolio-level funding and vendor relationships.
• Direct experience influencing decisions at the executive level.

Required skills

• Building and evaluating complex business and operational models, using data and metrics to support investment decisions and funding cases.
• Connecting solution design with program governance, project tracking and operational delivery.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
• Beneficial: Master's degree, design thinking, and background in e-commerce, platform delivery or technology product environments.
