Staff/Principal Engineer, CMOS Process Integration

About the role

Micron Technology is seeking a Staff/Principal Engineer to lead CMOS NAND module process integration within its Singapore R&D team. The role focuses on designing, developing and implementing innovative process solutions that enhance yield, quality and cost‑effectiveness of next‑generation 3D NAND products.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and quantify module deficiencies and technology gaps, and lead cross‑functional teams to resolve them.
• Improve existing process flows and create new solutions to meet product performance and manufacturability targets.
• Develop or refine CSPEC criteria and ensure manufacturing process capability.
• Coordinate with manufacturing sites to secure funding for experiments, drive conversions and communicate decisions to R&D, product engineering and manufacturing partners.
• Lead development projects for new integration schemes, establish proof‑of‑concept for future technology nodes, and support technology transfer from R&D to production.
• Present findings at quarterly yield summits and monthly program reviews, aligning R&D, manufacturing and senior management.
• Assist in ramp‑up, qualification, documentation and training of module fundamentals for manufacturing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of semiconductor industry experience, preferably in process integration.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and data‑analysis capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross‑functional teams.
• Self‑motivated, able to work in a demanding and dynamic environment, and willing to travel for extended periods to the United States for collaborative R&D work.
