System Engineer – Windows Server & VMware

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented System Engineer to design, implement and maintain our Windows Server and VMware infrastructure in Singapore. The role focuses on ensuring high performance, security and reliability of enterprise services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage Windows Server environments (2012 R2, 2016, 2019, 2022) across the enterprise.
• Administer VMware vSphere/ESXi hosts, provision virtual machines and optimise resource allocation.
• Monitor system performance, apply tuning and minimise downtime.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and document solutions.
• Manage Active Directory, user accounts, group policies, DNS and DHCP.
• Implement and maintain backup and disaster‑recovery solutions.
• Develop and keep up‑to‑date infrastructure documentation, runbooks and SOPs.
• Collaborate with IT teams on capacity planning, upgrades and security assessments.
• Automate routine tasks using PowerShell scripting.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in system or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent organisational and documentation practices.

Required skills

• Windows Server administration (2012 R2 – 2022).
• VMware vSphere/ESXi virtualization.
• PowerShell scripting.
• Active Directory, DNS, DHCP.
• Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP) and storage (SAN/NAS).
• Backup and disaster‑recovery technologies.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and other virtualization (Hyper‑V) is a plus.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, Citrix, ITIL and Python is advantageous.
