VP Corporate Partnerships

About the role

Wavemaker, Southeast Asia’s leading early‑stage venture capital firm, is seeking a Vice President of Corporate Partnerships to accelerate value creation for its portfolio companies. You will act as the bridge between startups and strategic corporate, financial and capital partners, shaping long‑term relationships that drive growth and exits.

Key responsibilities

• Develop deep knowledge of portfolio companies’ growth priorities and map relevant corporate ecosystem partners.
• Facilitate introductions and engagements that lead to customers, lenders, co‑investors or acquirers.
• Maintain a structured map of corporates, banks and secondary investors aligned with Wavemaker’s investment themes.
• Build and nurture executive‑level relationships across corporates, financial institutions and capital partners.
• Identify repeatable partnership pathways to support ongoing portfolio value creation.
• Collaborate with Investor Relations to cultivate corporate Limited Partners and support multi‑year capital formation.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, venture capital, investment banking, consulting or a related ecosystem‑facing role.
• Proven track record of building senior executive relationships across corporates, financial institutions or startup ecosystems.
• Strong understanding of startup growth dynamics, strategic partnerships, capital needs and exit pathways.
• Highly adaptable, commercially minded and execution‑oriented with ownership of multiple priorities.
