VP, IT Audit

About the role

GIC is seeking a Vice President of IT Audit to lead assurance and advisory services across technology, information security, and cyber‑risk domains. You will work within the Internal Audit Department, reporting to senior leadership and providing independent assessments of the firm’s governance, risk management and control environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute audits of technology infrastructure, applications, cloud services, and cybersecurity processes.
• Develop and maintain innovative IT audit programs leveraging data science and analytics.
• Identify control deficiencies, recommend remediation, and obtain senior stakeholder buy‑in.
• Produce clear audit findings, reports, and documentation.
• Continuously monitor emerging risks and adjust audit scope as needed.
• Benchmark against best practices and improve audit methodologies.
• Collaborate with business units to strengthen the overall control environment.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent.
• Professional security and controls certifications (CISA, CISSP, CISM).
• Minimum 12 years of IT audit or IT risk management experience, preferably within banking or finance.
