Android Developer – Contract

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Android Developer to join our team on a contract basis. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high‑quality Android applications that meet our product vision.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Android apps using Kotlin and/or Java.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and back‑end engineers to define new features.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following industry best practices.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and third‑party services.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise application performance.
• Conduct unit testing and participate in code reviews.
• Ensure application security, quality, and responsiveness.
• Publish and manage applications on the Google Play Store.
• Stay updated with Android platform updates and emerging technologies.
• Work within Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Required profile

• 8+ years of Android application development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
• Hands‑on experience with Android SDK, Android Studio, and Jetpack components.
• Experience with MVVM, MVP, or Clean Architecture.
• Proven ability to integrate REST APIs and handle JSON/XML data.
• Familiarity with Git version control.
• Understanding of mobile security and performance optimisation.
