Assistant Manager – Global Store Planning & Construction

About the role

The Assistant Manager, Global Store Planning & Construction will lead small to medium retail store projects across Southeast Asia and ANZ, supporting both direct and wholesale markets. This 2‑year renewable contract focuses on delivering new stores, enhancements, fixture drops, and roll‑out projects from concept to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end delivery of new store projects, enhancements and fixture drops.
• Assist senior managers on large‑scale projects and coordinate with distributors globally.
• Attend landlord meetings to gather site conditions, codes, timelines and approvals.
• Consolidate vendor surveys for the architecture team and develop project critical paths using Microsoft Project.
• Forecast, track and manage project budgets, tendering processes and cost evaluations.
• Negotiate with contractors to meet financial goals and manage millwork deliveries with supply‑chain teams.
• Review construction and fixture shop drawings, produce weekly status reports and conduct site inspections.
• Close out budgets within 90 days, manage warranties and support small maintenance projects.
• Travel frequently throughout Southeast Asia and ANZ.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in retail construction and fit‑out management.
• Strong project management and budgeting skills.
• Ability to work with architects, contractors and cross‑functional teams.
