Assistant Restaurant Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to lead daily bakery operations, ensure exceptional guest service, and uphold high standards of cleanliness and efficiency in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee opening and closing procedures to guarantee smooth workflow and team coordination.
• Induct, mentor and train junior staff, driving high guest satisfaction.
• Recommend and up‑sell menu items, inform guests of promotions, and support revenue growth.
• Develop and implement customer service action plans to enhance service quality.
• Optimize resource use and minimise waste through effective operational planning.
• Manage guest complaints with empathy and provide effective service recovery.
• Plan and execute manpower deployment within budget constraints.
• Maintain restaurant cleanliness and hygiene standards consistently.
• Support the launch and integration of new food and beverage products.

Required profile

• Diploma in any field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience, including team management.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership and organisational abilities.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to work rotating 5‑day shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Business and financial acumen to support profitability targets is advantageous.
