Associate Director / Director – Global Manufacturing Capacity Planning

About the role

The Associate Director/Director, Planning will lead the global manufacturing capacity planning strategy for a leading technology manufacturer expanding in Singapore. You will ensure capacity is optimized to support business growth and customer demand across a worldwide network of factories.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the global manufacturing capacity planning framework, including systems, governance, and standardized factory capacity models.
• Develop and optimize capacity models using advanced analytical techniques, maintain accurate master data, identify constraints, and drive continuous improvement.
• Own the capacity planning process within S&OP, aligning demand and capacity, monitoring global utilization, managing risks, and providing scenario analysis for investment decisions.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to execute capacity expansions, optimize production loading, manage asset data, and support long‑range labor and workforce planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing supply chain, capacity planning or industrial engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a global environment.
• Proven experience in semiconductor, electronics or high‑technology manufacturing, with expertise in capacity modelling, forecasting, optimization and scenario planning.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, production planning and capacity management, coupled with excellent analytical and data‑driven decision‑making skills.
• Effective communication, stakeholder management and influencing abilities in a matrix organization.
