Associate, Electrical (Data Centers)

About the role

AECOM is looking for an Associate, Electrical (Data Centers) in Singapore. The role supports electrical design delivery for data centre projects, acting as a recognised technical expert so that all outputs meet the needs of a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Define objectives and deliverables, organise schedules and resources, apply strong engineering judgement and ensure consistent, high-quality standards across the Data Centre Electrical sector.
• Provide strategic oversight for APAC technical delivery, including setting benchmarks, managing risk, mentoring and developing the team and supporting knowledge transfer.
• Understand clients' businesses, structures and cultures, and respond proactively to their requirements and market changes.
• Take part in sector growth activities such as bid and proposal development, thought leadership and coordinated Electrical services delivery across the region.

Required profile

• Minimum degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognised institution.
• Extensive design experience delivering electrical engineering projects in data centres and other mission-critical environments.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical design and engineering practices for data centres, including power distribution, resilience, redundancy and the interface with client technical requirements.
• Preferred: relevant professional qualifications such as Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Designer (ATD) certification, and registration or eligibility for registration (e.g. CPEng, NER), ideally with Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with CIBSE or an equivalent institute.
