Automated CNC Lathe Operator

About the role

This is a full-time, on-site Automated CNC Lathe Operator role based in Singapore. The operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC lathes to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and production schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Set up CNC lathes, select and install appropriate tools, and load materials for production.
• Input, adjust, and run CNC programs, performing test runs to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges and other measurement tools, documenting production data.
• Coordinate with supervisors or engineers to resolve machining issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Follow all safety procedures, maintain a clean and organized work area, and perform basic machine maintenance.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of CNC lathe operation, including machine setup and basic program adjustments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, engineering specifications, and work instructions.
• Proficiency with measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Knowledge of machining processes, materials, cutting speeds, and feeds relevant to automated lathe work.
• Commitment to workplace safety, equipment care, and adherence to standard operating procedures.
• Attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, and ability to identify and correct dimensional or quality issues.
• Experience in a manufacturing or precision machining environment is preferred.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Singapore and collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
