Design Engineer

About the role

Participate in development of new products and product improvements with a disciplined focus on connector solutions. Design and develop quality products while ensuring manufacturability together with other engineering functions.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in development of new products and product improvements focusing on connector solutions.
• Translate customer requirements into product drawings, specifications, design analysis, verification, tolerance analysis, and DFMEA.
• Ensure product designs are validated per customer requirements and international industry standards.
• Lead projects, defining and reconciling technical DFM with the Process Design team.
• Responsible for product engineering of the assigned product line and resolve customer dissatisfaction.
• Improve product designs to achieve manufacturing cost reductions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of product design development experience.
• Experience in the interconnects design industry is desirable.
• Senior/Staff level with strong design leadership and product life‑cycle knowledge.

Required skills

• Mechanical design and solid mechanics theory applied to product design.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAE tools: Pro‑Engineer, CREO, ANSYS.
• Knowledge of engineering drawing standards.
• Understanding of connector applications, plastic technology, insert‑molding and stamping processes.
