Bowling Technician / Mechanic

About the role

The Orchid Country Club is seeking a skilled Bowling Technician/Mechanic to ensure the smooth operation of its bowling facilities. You will be responsible for maintaining pinspotters, lane‑conditioning equipment, and related mechanical systems, providing reliable service during live operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, adjustments, troubleshooting, and repairs on Qubica AMF pinspotters, covering mechanical and electrical components.
• Operate lane‑conditioning machines to apply approved oil patterns and maintain bowling approaches for optimal slide and safety.
• Execute daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance schedules to maximize equipment reliability.
• Service automated bumper systems, replace components, and carry out corrective maintenance as needed.
• Respond promptly to lane service calls during live play, clearing pin jams and resolving mechanical faults.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop and pit area in compliance with safety standards.
• Assist with spare‑parts inventory tracking and reporting to ensure uninterrupted workshop operations.

Required profile

• NTC 2 or NTC 3 certification (or equivalent) in a technical discipline.
• 2–3 years of hands‑on mechanical maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of basic electrical systems.
• Preferably prior experience with bowling equipment such as pinsetters and lane‑conditioning machinery.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and overtime.
