Buyer – Supply Chain Procurement

About the role

The Buyer will support the Supply Chain function by ensuring that products sourced from business units and external suppliers are available to internal customers in the right quantities, on time, and meeting quality and cost objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Define procurement parameters in MRP item master and supply chain contracts aligned with inventory and industrial strategy.
• Analyze inventory completeness and monitor supplier capacity and performance.
• Process purchase order requests, manage external procurement, and confirm weekly deliveries.
• Negotiate lead times and quantities with suppliers within contractual frameworks.
• Track order acknowledgements, monitor manufacturing progress, and handle administrative disputes.
• Perform financial reconciliations of part numbers and participate in Quick Response Quality Control (QRQC).
• Handle exception messages from the material requirement plan and propose solutions for part shortages.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, lead‑time, and 5S standards and contribute to improvement projects.
