Chief Resident Engineer – Civil & Structural

About the role

Lead and manage civil and structural engineering projects, ensuring technical, safety and quality standards are met while overseeing manpower deployment and personnel welfare.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the project team to achieve objectives set by the Superintending Officer and consultants.
• Deliver projects adhering to the highest professional technical and safety standards.
• Oversee and administer QSS manpower deployment aligned with main contractors’ work schedules.
• Ensure personnel welfare is maintained throughout the project duration.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge and apply procedures from the Changi Aerodrome Manual, Airside Works Procedures Manual, AOS requirements, and WSH Manual.

Required profile

• Minimum 20 years of relevant experience as a civil and structural engineer, including at least 15 years on projects of similar size and complexity.
• Experience managing major construction works involving buildings, structural steel, and drainage.
• Civil and structural engineering degree recognized by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore.
• Accredited with the Joint Accreditation Committee of IES and ACES.
• Currently employed under the Contractor for at least 5 years with proficiency in PSSCOC contract administration.
