Civil & Structural Design Engineer – Singapore

About the role

PM Group is seeking a motivated Civil & Structural Design Engineer to join its growing Singapore office. You will work on high‑profile projects across the pharma, life sciences, mission‑critical and food & beverage sectors, contributing to both civil and structural design deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review civil and structural design calculations, drawings, and specifications for building and infrastructure projects.
• Support structural analysis and design of foundations, superstructures, and related civil works using relevant codes (Eurocodes, BS, SS).
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and other disciplines to deliver integrated, buildable solutions.
• Liaise with local authorities (BCA, PUB, LTA) for regulatory submissions and approvals.
• Review contractor design submissions, shop drawings, and method statements.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and resolve technical issues.
• Assist in tender documentation, technical specifications, and bill of quantities preparation.
• Ensure designs meet project requirements, safety standards, sustainability targets, and budget constraints.
• Participate in value‑engineering exercises and constructability reviews.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant design experience.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software (ETABS, SAFE, STAAD Pro) and design tools (AutoCAD, Revit/BIM).
• Familiarity with Singapore building codes and regulatory approval processes (BCA, URA, etc.).
• Strong communication and coordination skills for multidisciplinary team environments.
• Detail‑oriented with solid analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
