Construction Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead site operations from mobilisation through handover, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, safely and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Take charge of site operations, coordinating work sequences across all trades.
• Convert project drawings and specifications into practical execution plans.
• Manage site resources – manpower, equipment, materials and subcontractor deployment – to maintain productivity.
• Monitor daily construction progress and address programme slippage, access constraints, technical issues and interface conflicts.
• Supervise subcontractors and specialist vendors, ensuring work quality and agreed deliverables.
• Lead site coordination meetings with consultants, clients, contractors and internal teams.
• Maintain strong control over site safety and quality, complying with approved procedures and statutory requirements.
• Review construction methods and work practices to improve efficiency, reduce waste and optimise resources.
• Manage changes arising during construction, supporting technical assessments, variation discussions and cost implications.
• Develop the site team, providing direction to engineers, supervisors and foremen.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing construction sites and translating drawings into execution plans.
• Strong resource planning and allocation abilities.
• Experience supervising subcontractors and ensuring quality compliance.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills with consultants, clients and contractors.
• Solid knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards.
• Ability to manage change orders, assess cost impacts and implement variations.
• Leadership capability to develop and guide site teams.
• Valid EA Licence (e.g., 16C7962).
