Construction Manager

About the role

The Construction Manager will support the Managing Director in securing new projects and overseeing contract administration for both local and overseas clients. This senior position involves coordinating tender processes, managing budgets, and ensuring smooth project execution on site.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with the Managing Director to respond to quotations and prepare pre‑tender documentation.
• Attend tender meetings, handle clarifications, and manage the award process.
• Prepare and control contract documents, reviewing commercial terms with clients and sub‑contractors.
• Assist Project Managers with monthly progress payments, variation orders, and claim negotiations.
• Coordinate with main contractors, client quality/safety teams, and financial controllers on cost monitoring and cash‑flow projections.
• Analyse scope of work, interpret architectural and shop drawings, and maintain comprehensive records of design changes.
• Perform ad‑hoc duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in construction project and contract administration.
• Strong understanding of tender processes, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, architects, and finance staff.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
