Construction Project Director - Data Center / Airport / Industrial

About the role

Our client, a leading engineering and construction contractor, is seeking an experienced Construction Project Director to lead large‑scale M&E projects in data centre, airport and industrial sectors across Singapore. The role provides overall leadership from pre‑construction through commissioning and handover, ensuring safety, quality and commercial success.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of large‑scale M&E construction projects from pre‑construction to commissioning and handover.
• Provide strategic direction to project teams, engineering managers, construction managers and subcontractors.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget and in line with contractual requirements.
• Manage project P&L, resource planning, budgeting, forecasting and risk mitigation.
• Oversee construction planning, procurement strategies, project controls and commissioning activities.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and regulatory authorities.
• Lead commercial negotiations, variation management, claims and contractual matters.
• Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Champion best practices in safety, quality and operational excellence.
• Mentor and develop project teams, fostering a high‑performance culture.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• 15+ years of experience delivering large‑scale M&E construction projects.
• Proven experience in at least one of the following sectors: Data Centres, Airport Infrastructure, Industrial Facilities, Semiconductor Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical Facilities or Mission‑Critical Environments.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing project financials and contractual matters.
• Excellent leadership, communication and client‑facing skills.
• Experience managing projects exceeding S$100 million is highly advantageous.
