Construction Quality Dimensional Control Inspector

About the role

The Construction Quality Dimensional Control Inspector ensures that all fabricated components and assemblies for FPSO projects meet exact design specifications and tolerances. Working closely with engineering, quality, and construction teams, you will verify measurements, record data, and help maintain the structural integrity of offshore assets throughout the build process.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive inspections of fabricated components, sub‑assemblies, and final assemblies to confirm dimensional accuracy against engineering drawings.
• Maintain detailed records of dimensional inspections, measurement data, reports, and non‑conformance reports (NCRs).
• Communicate any deviations from design specifications promptly to engineering and construction teams.
• Collaborate with design engineers to ensure fabrication processes align with project tolerances and provide feedback on achievable designs.
• Identify, document, and drive corrective actions for dimensional deviations and oversee re‑work planning.
• Inspect alignment and fit‑up of installed equipment, piping, and modules during assembly and installation stages.
• Ensure all dimensional control activities comply with international standards and codes such as ASME, API, and ISO.

Required profile

• Proven experience in dimensional inspection or quality control within offshore or heavy‑industry construction.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, and measurement techniques.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical findings clearly.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high quality and safety standards.
