About the role
The Container Planning Manager will lead strategic planning and financial oversight for a global container asset portfolio within a leading Asia‑centric ocean carrier. Reporting to senior leadership, you will shape medium‑to‑long‑term fleet strategies that align with trade demand, seasonal patterns and business objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute global container fleet strategies, balancing trade demand, seasonal variations and corporate goals.
- Optimize the container portfolio through decisions on newbuilding, leasing, sales and phase‑outs to ensure cost efficiency and operational agility.
- Monitor global fleet KPIs, maintain target stock levels and guide regional equipment control teams on inventory flow.
- Assess lease‑versus‑buy scenarios, define long‑term asset positioning and minimise lifecycle costs across the fleet.
- Lead CAPEX and OPEX budgeting for container assets, perform investment modelling, cash‑flow forecasting and expenditure optimisation.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Management, Logistics, Supply Chain or a related field.
- At least 5 years of proven experience in container fleet management, equipment planning or container leasing operations.
