Buyer / Planner

About the role

KLA is seeking a proactive Buyer/Planner to manage material procurement and inventory flow for its semiconductor manufacturing operations. The role supports production schedules, ensures supply continuity, and drives cost‑effective sourcing.

Key responsibilities

• Purchase materials, components and equipment based on MRP or reorder point triggers.
• Determine material requirements from engineering and production schedules and maintain target inventory levels.
• Drive supply assurance by executing MRB actions, monitoring supplier on‑time delivery and managing ECOs.
• Control costs through EOQ pricing analysis, rework cost review and minimizing expedited freight and PPV spend.
• Perform excess, obsolescence and risk‑mitigation activities, and develop new supply sources when needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of purchasing or supply‑chain experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work under pressure.
• Experience with offshore suppliers and low‑volume, high‑mix manufacturing environments is a plus.
