Contract Accountant – General Ledger & AR (1‑year)

About the role

We are looking for a Contract Accountant to join our finance team for a 12‑month assignment. The role will focus on General Ledger and Accounts Receivable, supporting month‑end and year‑end closing, reconciliations and financial data clean‑up in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day General Ledger and Accounts Receivable operations.
• Support timely and accurate month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain balance‑sheet schedules.
• Complete, document and review all account reconciliations.
• Perform inter‑company reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with tax computations and statutory filings, including corporate tax and GST.
• Support external audit requirements and respond to auditor inquiries.
• Coordinate with banks for applications, documentation and financing matters.
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and financial reporting standards.
• Undertake ad‑hoc tasks, process‑improvement initiatives and workflow enhancements.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of full‑set accounting experience, primarily in General Ledger and Accounts Receivable.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and highly organized with strong time‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, look‑ups).
• ERP systems – Microsoft Dynamics 365 / Business Central.
• Familiarity with the Plato clinic system (advantage).
